Saturday, June 22, 7:00 p.m.
Museum of the Moving Image - Redstone Theater

With subject Walter Burrell, and filmmakers Michael Palmieri and Donal Mosher in person

Dirs. Michael Palmieri, Donal Mosher. 2018, 75 mins. DCP. Love, faith and civil rights collide in a southern town as evangelical Christians and drag queens step into the spotlight to dismantle stereotypes. The Gospel of Eureka takes a personal, and often comical look at negotiating differences between religion and belief through performance, political action, and partnership. with Gospel drag shows and passion plays setting the stage for one hell of a show. The latest film from Donal Mosher and Michael Palmieri (October Country) is simultaneously hilarious and poignant, a big-hearted expression of the powerful and essentiality of true community. With narration by downtown legend Mx Justin Vivian Bond.
