Rahman is a composer, singer-songwriter, music producer, musician, multi-instrumentalist, and philanthropist. زمن Magazine named him one of the world’s 100 most influential people, stating that “In India, a country of a billion inhabitants, where film and pop music are one, A.R. Rahman dominates the music industry so totally that he has supplied the soundtrack for a whole generation.” His prolific body of work of over 120 film scores worldwide in a career spanning two decades, makes him one of the world’s all-time top-selling recording artists. جاي هو explores the evolution of his style of music-a fusion of Eastern sensibilities and Western technology. The film traces milestones in Rahman’s personal and professional life and features spectacular concert footage and interviews with Rahman, Danny Boyle, Shekhar Kapur, Mani Ratnam, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and other collaborators. Through various turning points in his life and significant milestones, the film celebrates an Indian icon who is no less than a global phenomenon.
