Good Ol’ Freda

جاري التنفيذ

With Freda Kelly and director Ryan White in person

Dir. Ryan White. 2013, 86 mins. DCP courtesy of Magnolia Films. Freda Kelly was just a shy Liverpool teenager when she was asked to work for a local band hoping to make it big. The Beatles were together for ten years, but Freda worked for them for eleven. Many people came in and out of the band’s circle as they grew to international stardom, but Freda remained a staple because of her unfaltering loyalty and dedication. As the Beatles’s devoted secretary and friend, Freda was there as history unfolded; she was witness to the advances and setbacks, breakthroughs and challenges, of what many consider to be the greatest band in history. In the acclaimed new documentary Good Ol’ Freda, Freda tells her stories for the first time in 50 years. One of few films with the support of the living Beatles and featuring original Beatles music, the film offers an insider perspective on the beloved band that changed the music industry. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this “delightful doc gets as much mileage from its subject’s cheer as from Beatles lore.” Director Ryan White and the film’s subject, Freda Kelly, will introduce and discuss the film.
