Here’s who helped us via Kickstarter

Thank you to all our supporters!

At the end of last year, the Museum embarked on a Kickstarter campaign to help fund our reopening efforts. With an initial goal of $35,000 at launch in October, the campaign exceeded that number, landing at $50,234, thanks to the overwhelming generosity of new friends and dedicated supporters alike. We are proud to acknowledge our supporters here.

Our staff has been working diligently to send out all the rewards and are nearly there! The rewards included private Reverse Shot Happy Hours; private tours of The Jim Henson Exhibition and the extended Envisioning 2001: Stanley Kubrick’s Space Odyssey; donated games from our friends at Cinephile and signed photographs from Noel MacNeal; digital Reverse Shot books featuring essays about Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, and Agnes Varda; and much more. We were also excited to launch the new MoMI Digital memberships during the campaign; more than 100 new members joined at this new level that accommodates friends and supporters that may live far outside New York City. Find out more about membership here.

Again, a special thanks to all those who contributed, including our friends and supporters who donated rewards and raised the profile of the campaign: Bien Cuit bakery, Wyatt Cenac, Cinephile Games, Bill Heeter and Kristi Correa, Noel MacNeal, Craig Shemin and Stephanie D’Abruzzo, and James Wojtal Jr.
