Anomalisa

Ongoing

With Tom Noonan in person

Dirs. Charlie Kaufman, Duke Johnson. 2015, 90 mins. DCP courtesy of Paramount Pictures. With the voices of Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tom Noonan, David Thewlis. A modern-day story about love and alienation that was made with stop-motion animation, the remarkable Anomalisa is at once dreamlike and eerily realistic. Michael Stone, husband, father, and respected self-help author, checks into a Cleveland hotel on a business trip and discovers a possible escape from the tedium of his life in the form of an unassuming Akron baked goods sales rep, Lisa, who may or may not be the love of his life. Anomalisa is a brilliant creation from the minds of Charlie Kaufman (Synecdoche, New York) and Duke Johnson (Community).

Please note that due to unforeseen circumstances, Charlie Kaufman and Duke Johnson will no longer be in attendance.
