Artist-led Workshop: Animation with the Rauch Brothers

Tim and Mike Rauch are acclaimed animators who produce entertaining and enriching television, film, and internet content for audiences of all ages. They recently produced a series of animated shorts in collaboration with StoryCorps that were featured on the PBS series POV. In this 90 minute workshop, participants will be inspired by sounds from the public domain to make a short animation using collage and other mixed media approaches.
In the process, participants will explore possibilities for employing found sound in creative projects, and will learn about the basic principles of animation.
Materials fee: $12 (public) / $5 (Red Carpet Kids members). This does not include Museum admission. Museum members may reserve tickets by calling 718 777 6820.
