UPDATE: THIS SCREENING HAS BEEN CANCELLED, DUE TO STORM

Dir. Robert Zemeckis, 2012, 138 mins. Courtesy of Paramount. With Denzel Washington, Don Cheadle, John Goodman, Melissa Leo, Bruce Greenwood. In Zemeckis’s action-packed and dramatically powerful mystery thriller, Academy Award winner Washington stars as Whip Whitaker, a seasoned airline pilot who miraculously crash-lands his plane after a midair catastrophe, saving nearly everyone on board. After the crash, Whip is hailed as a hero, but as more is learned, questions arise as to who or what was at fault and what really happened on that plane. A discussion with Zemeckis, actors Denzel Washington and John Goodman, and screenwriter John Gatins follows the screening, moderated by David Koepp. Ziegfeld, 141 West 54th Street, New York, 10019.
