SCREENING

Cosmic Slop

Ongoing

With co-director, Museum trustee, and co-curator of Changing the Picture Warrington Hudlin in person

Dirs. Reginald Hudlin, Warrington Hudlin. 1994, 83 mins. With Jorge Ameer, Larry Anderson, Noëlle Balfour. When it first aired on HBO, this psychedelic, surrealist tour de force, narrated by George Clinton of Parliament-Funkadelic, initially generated controversy for its provocative depictions of class and racial tensions. Garnering comparisons to The Twilight Zone, Cosmic Slop has since achieved high cult status. This special anniversary screening is a celebration of its remarkable vision on the big screen.
