Fairy Tale Shadow Plays

Long before DreamWorks used computer animation to playfully send up classic fairy tales in Shrek (daily at 1:00 p.m.), artists around the world were animating fairy tales using nothing more than makeshift screens, light, and shadow puppets. In this hour-long workshop, participants will learn about these very first moving images, and then design and create their own paper puppets for a group fairy tale performance.
