SCREENING

F*ck for Forest

Ongoing

Location: Bartos Screening Room

Preceded by a big-screen showing of Radiohead’s new music video for “I Promise,” directed by Michał Marczak

Dir. Michał Marczak. 2012. 86 mins. Digital projection. In Polish with English subtitles. Marczak’s bold nonfiction films frequently stir controversy. In F*ck for Forest, a morbidly funny and poignant hybrid, Marczak delves into turbulent lives of young activists who stage orgies and sell sex videos via their Berlin-based NGO, F*ck for Forest, to save the Amazon. Marczak follows closely the idiosyncratic group in performances and private moments, and then in the distant Amazon forest, as its members try to find a common language with the locals.
