Follow that Bird

Dir. Ken Kwapis. 1985, 88 mins. Digital projection. With Caroll Spinney, Jim Henson, Frank Oz. Big Bird made his big-screen debut 30 years ago in Sesame Street Presents: Follow that Bird. Featuring a cast of Sesame Street regulars as well as a star-studded array of cameo guests including Chevy Chase, John Candy, and Waylon Jennings, the movie follows Big Bird’s journey back to Sesame Street after a well-intentioned social worker places him within a family of birds, far away from his friends.
