Free Super-Size Game Jam for Kids and Teens

For grades 6-12
A special super-size game jam led by organizations from all over the City is taking over the Museum’s Teen Digital Media Lab. Held in a different location each month, the Moveable Game Jam features some of the best game design educators from organizations throughout NYC. In this art and graphic design themed game jam at Museum of the Moving Image, we’ll introduce you to the principles of good game design, and then give you time to create your own game with the help of our expert staff.
This event is full. The event is open to middle school and high school students. Event is free, but space is limited.
The last 30 minutes are a chance to showcase the great games made during the session, and parents are encouraged to attend from 7:00pm-7:30pm. Light snacks will be provided.
This event is funded by the Hive Digital Media Learning Fund in the New York Community Trust. Organizations present at this game jam include: Museum of the Moving Image, MOUSE, Iridescent and Groundswell.
