Based on a screenplay written by Kieslowski and frequent collaborator, Krzysztof Piesiewicz, Heaven was to be the first installment of the Polish director’s next Dante-inspired trilogy had he not died in 1996. Enter Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run), who brings his signature kinetic flair to a story about an aggrieved woman seeking to avenge her husband’s death.
