SCREENING

Here’s Your Life (Här har du ditt liv)

Sunday, Feb 20, 2011

A forgotten great movie from the 1960s by Swedish director Jan Troell (The Emigrants), this vibrant bildungsroman, adapted from a turn-of-the-century novel, concerns a teenager who works as a projectionist and actor. The widescreen film moves from black and white to color, displaying Troell’s photographic virtuosity. Film critic John Simon, who has written frequently about Troell’s films, will introduce the screening.

Free with museum admission.
