Wayne Koestenbaum, a poet, cultural critic, and distinguished professor at the CUNY Graduate Center, will introduce the film. Koestenbaum’s new book, The Anatomy of Harpo Marx, is a wide-ranging and virtuosic exploration of the astonishing range of Harpo’s body—its kinks, sexual multiplicities, somnolence, Jewishness, “cute” pathos, and more. Followed by a book signing in the Moving Image Store.
