Limited Edition Set of Three Jim Henson Lithographs

Ongoing

Available to select donors to the Jim Henson exhibition

“ The Henson Family is thrilled to have three of its favorite pieces of our father’s personal art recreated by a fine art master printer. These images hung in our family home for many years. They are intelligent and wry, clever and beautiful. We are thrilled to share this special printing with the Museum of the Moving Image, which has made an important commitment to exhibiting our father’s work.”

—Cheryl Henson

To mark the occasion of the opening of the permanent Jim Henson exhibition at the Museum of the Moving Image, the Henson family has commissioned master printer Andrew Mockler to produce limited edition lithographs of Jim Henson’s striking 1957-58 silkscreen prints, entitled “Hilarity,” “Melancholy,” and “Conceit.” Henson gave these prints to family and close friends, and very few survive.

Each lithograph, available in an edition of 100, will be numbered and embossed with the Jim Henson Archives seal, and will come in a portfolio with a personal letter from Brian Henson and documentation from Jim Henson archivist Karen Falk.

These delightful and timeless pieces are available to all donors at the $10,000 level and above. All contributions are tax deductible, minus $500.

To make a donation to the Museum’s Jim Henson exhibition, please contact Christina Marouda, Director of Development at [email protected] or at 718 777 6844.
