During President Lincoln’s tumultuous final months in office, he pursues a course of action to end the Civil War, unite the country, and abolish slavery. One of Steven Spielberg’s greatest works, with a screenplay by Tony Kushner, the film features an uncanny and indelible performance by Daniel Day-Lewis. The great film critic Molly Haskell, whose new book is Steven Spielberg, A Life in Films, will introduce the screening, which will be followed by a book signing in the Museum Store.
