Introduced by Warrington Hudlin, Museum trustee and curator of the Fist and Sword

Dir. Keanu Reeves. 2013, 105min. DCP courtesy of RADiUS TWC. With Tiger Hu, Keanu Reeves, and Karen Mok. The thrilling and impressive directorial debut of actor Keanu Reeves reunites him with two of the main creative figures from The Matrix, legendary martial arts choreographer Yuen Woo-ping and stuntman-cum-action star Tiger Chen. Donaka (Reeves) is a formidable businessman by day, shuttling between the megacities of Hong Kong and Beijing, while running a secret underground fighting ring by night. Seeking new “talent” to fight to the death in exchange for cash rewards, Donaka finds humble deliveryman Linhu (Chen), who has perfected a lethal form of the ancient art of Tai-chi. They embark on a high-flying journey that entwines eye-popping, bone-crunching exhilaration with provocative philosophical reflection.
