Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

Ongoing

With director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon in person

Dir. Alfonso Gomez-Rejon. 2015, 104 mins. DCP courtesy of Fox Searchlight. With Olivia Cooke, Nick Offerman, Jon Bernthal. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl is the funny and moving story of a high school senior who tries to avoid getting entangled in deep relationships, preferring to make short film parodies of classic movies. His mother insists that he spend time with a girl in his class who has just been diagnosed with cancer. Variety wrote that the film is “destined not only to connect with young audiences in a big way, but also to endure as a touchstone for its generation.”
