Screening and discussion about Latinas, self-image, and identity on screen with director Carlos Berrios in person

Part of the series Changing the Picture, sponsored by Time Warner Inc.

Dir. Carlos Berrios. 2014, 16 mins. Digital projection. Written and produced by Franc. Reyes. This provocative short film is about four Latinas going out for a night on the town to celebrate six months of working out in the gym. What ensues is a conversation and debate covering issues of ethnicity, body image, self-hatred, and identity. The screening will be followed by a discussion about the image of Latinas on screen and in society moderated by Barbara Matos, Director of Diversity at CBS.
