The Secret of Kells

Dirs. Tomm Moore, Nora Twomey. 2009, 75 mins. 35mm. With the voices of Evan McGuire, Brendan Gleeson, Mick Lally. The Secret of Kells is a beautiful and colorful Oscar-nominated animated film set in medieval Ireland on the eve of a Viking invasion. A young boy, Brendan, becomes swept into an adventure when a master illuminator arrives asking for his help with a book filled with secret powers. Recommended for ages 9 and up.

Prior to the screening, which begins at 11:30 a.m., members of Darrah Carr Dance will present a fun, interactive Irish dance demonstration.
