SCREENING

WPA 2013 Experimental Media

Ongoing

Presented by Washington Project for the Arts (WPA), this program of short video works explores video’s central role in contemporary surveillance regimes—whether government-run, corporate, or self-inflicted. The screening is part of WPA’s Experimental Media 2013, which explores security, privacy, and surveillance in the digital age through a gallery exhibition, video screening series, and panel discussion.

Featuring work by Paul Beck, Cristine Brache, Daniel Cerrejon, Robert Ladislas Derr, Constantin Hartenstein, Scott F. Hall, Hillerbrand + Magsamen, Peter Chongha Lee, Shahar Marcus, Alex Nathanson, Nestor Olhagaray, Jean-Michel Rolland, and Paul Shortt.

Washington Project for the Arts, based in Washington D.C., serves as a catalyst for contemporary art. WPA supports artists in all stages of their careers and promotes contemporary art by presenting exhibitions, issues, and ideas that stimulate public dialogue on art and culture.
