Películas para Rachel
Friday, May 22 - Saturday, May 23, 2015
In the movie Earl y yo y la chica moribunda, adapted by Jesse Andrews for the screen from his own novel, the teen protagonist Greg and his “co-worker” Earl remake classic movies and share them with Rachel, who has leukemia. As Greg explains, “we take a film we like. Give it a stupider title and make a new film to reflect the new title. It’s a formula that only produces horrible films, but for some reason we keep using it.” Here are the original classics that were remade in Me and Earl as Pooping Tom, Monorash, y Burden of Screams.
On Tuesday, May 26, the Museum will present a preview screening of Earl y yo y la chica moribunda with director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon in person.
