See It Big! New York in Film
Friday, Sep 4 - Sunday, Sep 27, 2015
With its grit and its glamour, New York City is made for the movies. A city of contrasts, energy, diversity, and spectacle, it has inspired countless films. Some were filmed on the streets — movies like Hacer lo correcto, Conductor de taxi, y Sweet Smell of Success — while others were filmed on soundstages, creating a New York of memory or dream, in films like Once Upon a Time in America, La edad de la inocencia, y Eyes Wide Shut. What these disparate films have in common is that they are teeming with life, capturing the vitality of New York and reflecting it back in movies that demand to be seen on a big screen.
