Dir. Stanley Kubrick. 1968, 149 mins. (plus intermission). DCP. With Keir Dullea. As brilliantly engineered as the space program itself, Stanley Kubrick’s mysterious and profound epic—“the ultimate trip”—is about nothing less than the beauty and the banality of civilization, blending cool satire, an elaborate vision of the future, and passages of avant-garde cinematic inventiveness. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Envisioning 2001: Stanley Kubrick’s Space Odyssey (on view through July 19, 2020).

Combination tickets that include the screening and access to the Envisioning 2001 exhibition (and general Museum admission) are available for $25 (with discounts for seniors, students, youth / free or discounted for Museum members).

Order tickets ($25) for 12:00 p.m. screening + exhibition access before/after the screening

Order tickets ($15) for 12:00 p.m. screening only
