Join MoMI and neighbors at the Backlot Festival, a day of art, music, and community ranging over the whole of the Kaufman Arts District. With unique performances, musical guests, street art, fun-filled activities, food, drink and more, the Backlot Festival promises to be a great day in Astoria!
The Museum is participating in two events:
3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Putt Putt Pitch with Freestyle Arts and Material for the Arts, featuring four custom-crafted mini-golf holes in the Museum’s Kaufman Courtyard.
2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Moving Image Workshop with The Blue Bus Project
The Blue Bus Project will host moving image workshops for children and adults to learn how to create video art shorts, in collaboration with media educators from the MoMI. Find the Bus on the Backlot.

The Backlot Festival is FREE for all to attend. However, some venues are space-limited with entry on a first-come, first served basis, and priority given to button-bearing registrants. To register for a Festival button, click here.
