Looking at Luis: The Best of Emilio Delgado on Sesame Street

Saturday, Aug 13 at 1:00 pm

Location: Redstone Theater

Introduced by Craig Shemin, President of the Jim Henson Legacy

Emilio Delgado, who passed away earlier this year, delighted audiences for more than 44 years on Sesame Street as Luis Rodriguez, the charming co-owner of the Fix-It Shop. Emilio’s role as Luis won him adoring fans of several generations and earned him the distinction of portraying the longest-running Mexican-American character on U.S. television. Join us for a look back at some of his most indelible moments from Sesame Street, including lots of songs, silliness, and the story of his courtship and marriage to his on-camera spouse, Maria (Sonia Manzano). This screening is free, included with museum admission. Approx. 80 minutes.

Admission (with ticket included): $15 / $11 senior and students / $9 youth (ages 3–17) / Free or discounted ($11) for MoMI members. Order online. Please pick up tickets at the Museum’s admissions desk upon arrival. All seating is general admission. Review safety protocols before your visit.
