Lost Highway

Ongoing

Dir. David Lynch. 1997, 134 mins. 35mm. With Bill Pullman, Patricia Arquette, Balthazar Getty, Robert Blake. In what is probably legendary director David Lynch’s scariest film—or at least his closest to a work of genuine horror—a moody thriller about a saxophonist and his wife being haunted by a mysterious stalker morphs into a violent gangland noir. Lost Highway takes viewers down some of the most disturbing, inexplicable rabbit holes in any American mainstream film, and features unforgettably chilling images and atmospheric nighttime photography by Peter Deming that envelops the viewer like a shroud.
