Muppet Treasure Island: 26th Anniversary

Friday, Feb 11 at 3:00 PM

Location: Redstone Theater

Introduced by Jim Henson Legacy President Craig Shemin

Dir. Brian Henson. 1996, 99 mins. 35mm. With Tim Curry, Kevin Bishop, Billy Connolly, Steve Whitmire, Frank Oz, Dave Goelz, Jerry Nelson. Due to COVID closures, we were unable to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this film last year, but in true Muppet fashion, we proudly present a 26th anniversary screening of Brian Henson’s beloved musical adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s swashbuckling adventure. Kermit takes the helm as Captain Smollett, journeying for adventure with a crew of Muppets and young Jim Hawkins’s map setting the course. But something’s a little off with that new peg-legged cook, Long John Silver (Tim Curry).  Oh, and did we mention island goddess Miss Piggy and her band of wild boars?

Tickets: $15 / $11 senior and students / $9 youth (ages 3–17) / Free or discounted for MoMI members. Order tickets. Please pick up tickets at the Museum’s admissions desk upon arrival. All seating is general admission. Review safety protocols before your visit.
