Plague of the Zombies
Sunday, Sep 11 at 1:00 PM
Location: Bartos Screening Room
Dir. John Gilling. 1966, 90 mins. Digital projection. With André Morell, Diane Clare, Brook Williams, Jacqueline Pearce, John Carson. Far from the exoticized Caribbean islands, Gilling’s film roots its tale of horror in Victorian-era England. A local doctor is alarmed by the curious plague sweeping through the Cornish village where he lives. He sends for his mentor, who arrives with his naive young daughter, and slowly they discover these deaths—made all the more terrifying by their inexplicable reanimation—may have a more sinister cause.
