The Omen

Saturday, May 13 at 3:30 pm

Location: Redstone Theater

Dir. Richard Donner. 1976, 111 mins. With Gregory Peck, Lee Remick, David Warner, Billie Whitelaw. “Look at me, Damian! It’s all for you!” In the bicentennial summer of ’76, Donner’s post-Exorcist smash kept the horror craze going while also introducing a new icon of the genre: a creepy little tyke who may actually be the devil’s spawn. Kind of like a super-charged “what comes next” after Rosemary’s Baby, Donner’s full-throated occult chiller features Peck and Remick in fine fettle as the father who replaced his dead biological son at birth and the mother kept in the dark. As the kid ages, very bad things start to happen around him. With its unforgettable, symphonic shocks (including one of the most lauded decapitations in film history), The Omen is deliriously demonic entertainment, featuring a terrifying, Oscar-winning score by Jerry Goldsmith. (Released June 25, 1976)

Tickets: $15 / $11 senior and students / $9 youth (ages 3–17) / discounted for MoMI members ($7–$11). Order tickets. Please pick up tickets at the Museum’s admissions desk upon arrival. All seating is general admission. Review safety protocols before your visit.
