The Wicker Man

Saturday, Dec 30 at 6:00 pm

Location: Redstone Theater

Dir. Robin Hardy. 1973, 87 mins. DCP. With Edward Woodward, Christopher Lee, Britt Ekland, Diane Cilento, Ingrid Pitt. Police sergeant Neil Howie (Woodward) arrives at a seemingly quiet island village in search of a missing young woman whom the locals claim never existed. Stranger still are the rituals performed by the locals who long abandoned Christianity. The more Sergeant Howie learns about these practices, the closer he thinks he gets to solving his case, although he is really being gradually ensnared in a nefarious plot. Fifty years after its release, The Wicker Man remains imaginative and frightening, and a seminal work of folk horror.

Tickets: $15 / $11 senior and students / $9 youth (ages 3–17) / free for MoMI members at the Senior/Student level and above. Order tickets. Please pick up tickets at the Museum’s admissions desk upon arrival. All seating is general admission. Review safety protocols before your visit.
