Agnès Varda

Agnès Varda, one of the key directors to emerge from the French New Wave, has worked in fiction and documentary and has long been regarded as an essential figure in world cinema. She is the subject of an upcoming symposium in Reverse Shot, the Museum’s online publication edited by Michael Koresky and Jeff Reichert. The symposium will feature original writing on all of Varda’s films. These screenings of newly restored versions of four of her greatest works will be introduced by Reverse Shot writers.
