Dalton Trumbo

Nov 5 — Nov 21, 2015

The charismatic, strong-willed screenwriter Dalton Trumbo won two Academy Awards while he was blacklisted: one under a pseudonym and one using a “front.” The decision to give him proper screen credit on Spartacus finally broke the Hollywood blacklist. The new feature film Trumbo dramatizes his story, with a captivating performance by Bryan Cranston and a dazzling ensemble cast. Two films written by Trumbo will also be screened: the B-movie classic Gun Crazy and the powerful drama The Brave One, which won Trumbo his first Oscar, under the pseudonym Robert Rich.
