Howl’s Moving Castle

Loosely based on Diana Wynn Jones’s novel, Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki created a world filled with witches and curses where a young woman, Sophie, is turned into an old woman by a curse and a castle has legs! Sophie meets Howl, a wizard who is also cursed, and his castle filled with an odd assortment of friends that become family. Together they must try to undo their curses and find self-acceptance. (Dir. Hayao Miyazaki. 2005, 119 mins.) Recommended for ages 8+.

Two screenings will be presented dubbed in English, and one will be presented in Japanese with English subtitles.
