MoMI Moviehouse

Ongoing

At Museum of the Moving Image, we believe in the enduring vitality of cinema as a communal endeavor and that the glories of the big screen experience are always ripe for discovery and rediscovery from one generation to the next. While we don’t like to pigeonhole movies as being solely for one community or another, we do want to open our doors as widely as possible for the next generation of cinephiles. Regularly presented among our first screenings of the day (122:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday; 2–5 p.m. on Friday), all screenings that fall under our “MoMI Moviehouse” moniker are suitable for viewers 13 and overwith most titles suitable for those even younger (as noted). Moviehouse films overlap with some of our ongoing series, including Musical Matinees, World of Animation, and Jim Henson’s World.
