Queens World Film Festival

Mar 21 — Mar 31, 2019

The Queens World Film Festival (QWFF) is an annual festival that features screenings, industry panels, special events, and youth-oriented educational initiatives. This year the festival, which is organized by Don and Katha Cato and their team of collaborators, will present more than 200 films from around the world. For information about the festival and to see the full schedule, visit queensworldfilmfestival.com.

The Museum will co-present two programs in collaboration with QWFF, both of which are under-appreciated American independent films, recently restored by IndieCollect: Thousand Pieces of Gold (1991) with director Nancy Kelly and producer Kenji Yamamoto in person and In the Soup (1993) with director Alexandre Rockwell in person for a conversation with David Schwartz. Kelly, Yamamoto, and Schwartz are being honored by the Festival with “Spirit of Queens” awards.
