Sony Pictures Classics: Recent Films

On Tuesday, June 11, Michael Barker and Tom Bernard, co-founders and co-presidents of Sony Pictures Classics, were honored at Museum of the Moving Image’s inaugural Envision Awards. Barker and Bernard have been responsible for bringing an astonishing number of independent films, international films, documentaries, and animated movies to American audiences. Their films have won 31 Oscars (including such titles as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Midnight in Paris, Amour, and many others). This selection includes two of their most acclaimed recent releases.
