To the Summit: Great Mountain-Climbing Documentaries

On the occasion of the theatrical release of The Summit, Nick Ryan’s gripping new documentary about the 2008 disaster on K2, the deadliest day in mountain climbing history, the Museum presents this special double-feature. Kevin MacDonald’s now-classic 2003 documentary Touching the Void, about two climbers attempting to reach the summit of the Siula Grand mountain in Peru, will be shown, along with a special preview screening of The Summit with director Nick Ryan in person.
