In a surrealist nightmare, a woman (Deren) follows a dark and mysterious hooded figure on the streets, and is led to her own home. Coming face-to-face with the figure, she discovers that he has a mirror for a face, and later she finds herself seated around a table with her double, triple, and quadruple.
